This game has some cool 3D audio. For the effect to fully take place make sure to wear headphones or ear buds.

This fun plat-former game is one you don't want to miss out on. you are the carrier of a magic egg that you must protect at all costs and bring to the mother of all eggs.
TAKE CARE OF THE EGG!!!!

this game was made for the extra credits game jam with the theme: Take Care.

art is from2 art kits you can get here:
https://www.gameart2d.com/the-boy---free-sprites.html
https://www.gameart2d.com/free-platformer-game-tileset.html

hey, I know this is technically not apart of the game jam so if you want the "Authentic experience" than you can download it. but I was having some issues with the exporter and it wasn't working, so I have made a web gl version of the game to make it more accessible to people. Its the exact same game: https://ducks-go-quack-studios.itch.io/test

The game is okay I guess.

A few issues though.

The player keeps getting stuck to the sides of platforms. You can prevent
this by reducing the friction of the rigidbody.

You can still play and complete the level even if you hit a wall since the player is still in the level. You should consider stopping the game when the Game Over menu is shown(try something like Time.timescale = 0f in Unity).

In the second or third level, the egg stops following you and it doesn't affect the player in any way. This makes it feel like the egg is not important to the game. I assume its just a bug and that's okay.

The soundtrack is pretty decent. Did you make it yourself ?

I guess you are quite new to making games or were too short on time. Either way, keep making games as you'll get better with time!

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

I didn't know that changing the friction didn't make it do that, thanks for the tip :)

Yeah I didn't even think about stopping the game after you touched the portal. thanks :)

yeah, I did make the sound track, did you know its 3D audio so if you put in head phones/ ear buds it will feel like the music is moving around you? I'm really glad you liked it. if you want to make some music there a free online music maker called sound trap. I highly recommend it.

It was kinna both. this was my forth ever game and I missed an entire day of the jam because I had some personal things to take care of.

thanks for checking out my game
